Halloween Haunted Houses

Halloween is one of the best times of the year. The crisp air, the aroma of candy and the trick-or-treating are all delightfully reminiscent of fall. Kids run home from school in their costumes, parents fill a tray with bulk candy and sit in the doorway, passing out spooky treats. While wives hustle the kids around, parents can spend the evening visiting the bay area halloween event to scare them and earn some extra cash.

Hollywood has long embraced the Halloween haunted house as the perfect setting for horror films. The film It Chapter Two features a major scene set at a funhouse in which the protagonist confronts classic haunted house scenarios. Rob Zombie's Firefly Family series was inspired by the Halloween Horror Nights haunted attraction, and his upcoming film House of 1000 Corpses was heavily influenced by the classic haunted house film, Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse.

The Whitaker haunt focuses on the Whitaker family, a family with some dark and disturbing habits. Throughout the years, the Whitakers have continued to gather artifacts from a mysterious family. This energy is responsible for the evil energy coursing throughout the land. The ghostly professor Whitaker is at the center of the Whitaker haunt, telling the tale of this family.

The 13th Gate is another popular haunted house in Los Angeles. It is designed for adults, and is not recommended for children under 10. This haunted house takes visitors on a terrifying journey through a pirate ship, the deadly streets of Whitechapel with Jack the Ripper, and a zombie-infested graveyard. It takes about 90 minutes to complete all haunts.

The history of the asylum is perhaps even more terrifying than its ghosts. The building was once a poorhouse, and many patients were killed in its wards. Many of its workers have gone on to live as ghosts, and many of its dark and deceptive spirits still roam the halls. The haunted asylum is now home to four haunted events.
